Customer Service Scenario for Coffee Machines
Imagine you work for Contoso Coffee, a company that distributes premium coffee machines to businesses worldwide. The organization wants to create a custom agent and standardize its customer service processes to make Contoso’s return policies easier to understand. Contoso also wants to simplify responses to emails and order cancellation requests from its customers and create a bot to automatically reply to emails.
Setup and Access
To get started, make sure your tenant has access through a Pay-As-You-Go billing plan or a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription.
Check Your License
To verify the licenses your tenant has access to, go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
In the admin center, go to the Active Users menu under Users in the left navigation menu, then select the user you will sign in with.
Once the user is selected, in the right-hand side menu, go to the Licenses and Apps tab.
Under Licenses and Apps, you can see which licenses are applied to your account.
The Billing tab in the left menu displays capacity and product license information at the tenant level.
Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license have the Copilot Studio functionality of Copilot Chat enabled by default.
Users without this license must set up a Pay-As-You-Go billing plan through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or the Power Platform Admin Center.
If You Are Attending an Instructor-Led Workshop
If you are attending an instructor-led “Agent in a Day” event, the instructor may provide you with a preconfigured tenant to use.
This tenant will have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and a Microsoft Copilot Studio license, giving you access to all Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat features used in this module.
Accessing Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
You can access Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat by going to Copilot Chat and signing in with your credentials.
First-use experiences may be offered in the app to help you during your first launch, and you can review them before starting the other exercises.
