Introduction to Microsoft Azure: Describe cloud concepts
What is Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services over the Internet.
These computing services include traditional IT infrastructure elements such as:
- Virtual machines
- Storage
- Databases
- Networks
Cloud services also extend traditional IT offerings to include technologies such as:
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Machine Learning (ML)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Because cloud computing uses the Internet to deliver these services, it is not limited by physical infrastructure like a traditional data center.
This means that if you need to quickly scale up your IT infrastructure, you don’t have to build a new data center—you can simply use the cloud to rapidly expand your capacity.
