Extend and Manage Microsoft Copilot Studio Agents

Agent Entity and Flow Permissions

Estimated reading: 1 minute 11 views

Microsoft Copilot Studio agents come with predefined entities provided by the system, which help the agent identify common information such as age, colors, numbers, and names. Agent creators in the environment do not have access to the tables they see in the same environment in Microsoft Power Apps or Power Automate.

Currently, the only option to connect to tables is by using a Power Automate flow. To trigger the flow, use the Call an action feature in the agent authoring canvas.

Only flows that are part of the solution are visible in the Call an action feature. We recommend having System Administrator level access for an environment to create agents that can connect to flows, which then connect to tables.
